Bring much-needed acute medical and dental care to needy children in the DR

If you’ve ever wanted to do a mission trip to help those in need, Angels for Humanity(AFH) has the perfect Medical/Dental mission trip for you!  Please plan to join AFH in the Dominican Republic from May 19, 2021 to May 23, 2021. The health care needs of the people of the Dominican Republic are tremendous, especially in rural areas.  There are fewer than two physicians available per 1,000 persons nationally, and the Dominican health care system struggles to meet the needs of poor women, adolescents, and children. Fifty-two percent of the population lives below the poverty line, and for many, even the most basic health care is financially out of reach.

Angels for Humanity collaborates with physicians, nurses, dentists, dental hygienists, opticians, and other medical professionals to help meet the medical needs of the underserved through medical mission trips.  AFH’s missionaries volunteer their time by working side-by-side with local medical professionals to improve the health and well-being of those in need of acute medical attention. Our mission team provides donated medicines, vitamins, bandages, and other necessities, etc., to serve the people.

AFH always strives to work with the local schools and churches, who customarily provide the space for our provisional clinic and who make certain that the local communities are prepared for our arrival. Our team is typically onsite for 3-5 days, enabling us to care for hundreds of children and their families.

We are seeking dentists, doctors, nurses, dental hygienists, and other medical professionals who have a heart for people and an innate desire to use their skills to improve the health of others while also infusing a renewed sense of hope and wellness. Participation is not limited to those with medical training, all are encouraged to join!

Our typical medical trip is 3-5 days, with 15-25 participants. Group accommodations in a nearby all-inclusive hotel will be recommended. In-country transportation, will be provided. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us at  or 561. 223.9372
